Meet the Artist

Marquisina Lampi was born and raised in British Columbia and currently resides in Vermilion, Alberta. A lot has transpired between residencies!

She can't recall a time when she wasn't painting, drawing or somehow connecting with her artistic side. "An artist isn't an artist by choice, it's something they're born with", she says. "I just always loved putting my ideas to life by painting how I felt or what I saw or how I felt about what I saw. It's a spiritual experience."

Although largely self-taught, she majored in art in school and has taken several workshops with artists such as Randolph Parker on SaltSpring Island, BC.

She paints mainly in acrylics and watercolors and her paintings can be seen in private collections worldwide.

Marquisina teaches beginner classes in watercolors and acrylics and will be hosting workshops in the near future.
